Interview with our Gorgeous Anna

  1. Name?
Anna Cash
  1. Nationality?
Proudly from Austin, Texas in The United States of America
  1. How did you become a model?
Both of my parents were photographers growing up. Photography and art were a daily part of my life as a child and teenager. For a long time as an adult I took photos but I realized that being in front of the camera gave me so much room to be creative.

4. What did you do before you became a model?
I have had all kinds of jobs before seriously pursuing modelling. I have been a nanny, worked in a skateboard shop, and been a hostess at a restaurant. I took a leave of absence from my job as a cashier at an organic grocery store to come to India.
  1.  What are your biggest passions in life?
My biggest passions in life are of course traveling and creating art. Modelling is such an amazing job because it allows me to do that on a daily bases. My other passions include worldwide education, women’s equality and empowerment, and sustainable fashion.

  1. What is you favourite shoot that you have done and why?
When I was living in Mexico City last year I got to do makeup tutorials for Vogue Mexico during the Mercedes Benz Fashion week. I was so honoured that Mac and Vogue had chosen me to show the makeup of each designer and teach people how they could do these beautiful looks at home. I was surrounding by Mexico’s most talented and creative minds, so it was such an honour to be a part of that electric buzz backstage. Watching the videos after they were completed and seeing the word “Vogue” by my face I don’t think I stopped smiling for a month.
  1. How did you feel during your first photo shoot?
My first photo shoot not photographed by my parents was a really powerful experience. I felt a bit nervous but after shooting for about an hour I found confidence in myself I didn’t know I had. After that shoot I knew that modelling was something that would provide many great experiences and was something I wanted to do.

  1. What would you say is the best outfit to wear to castings?
For me I always feel most confident in my black skinny Zara jeans, grey tank top, fake black leather jacket with gold detailing, black booties, and black backpack. This is my go to outfit because there is no stopping me in all black.

  1. What is your beauty routine?
I am a complete minimalist when it comes to things like this. I wash my face every day with a charcoal bar and apply lotion to my face and neck. If I have to put on make up its always very natural and quick. You can always find my hair in a messy top bun or completely untouched. I complete my routine with a bit of perfume, my two favourites being One by Calvin Klein and Mademoiselle by Chanel.
  1. What is one makeup product you can’t live without?
I only use make up that is not tested on animals. I think as a model and being so involved in the industry it is important to know how and where your make up is made. I would be lost without my concealer from NARS and my cocoa powder foundation by Too Faced.
  1. How do you keep in shape?
When I am in Austin I do a lot of kickboxing and barre classes. When I travel I try my best to eat clean, walk everyday, and include strengthening exercises. But anyone who knows me, knows I won’t ever turn down chocolate or Oreos.
  1. What do you like most about being a model with Pietra Dura Creative Management?
The fact that I am currently in India is the best part. I have always been infatuated with the culture of India. The fact that I have this amazing agency and the chance to see the world, I could not ask for anything more.

  1. What are your model goals?
I think we all want to be on the cover of Vogue but I would be beyond grateful to be in any major magazine. I would love to collaborate with the most talented photographers and simply create art.
  1. What would be your dream job to book while modelling in India?
I have always wanted to be in a Bollywood movie!
  1. What has been the best advice you have received as a model?
Be confident in yourself and know that you are enough just the way you are.
