Rebecca Dewan Winter Collection Preview

Last week I had the privilege of being walked through the Rebecca Dewan Winter collection at her flagship store in Bandra. The collection features houte coture garments in a variety of hues with the focus being on feathers, tassels and fringing. Rebecca Dewan started her label out of her sheer love and passion for the art, and while being walked through the collection, I couldn’t help but notice the love and care that has been put into each garment. Each garment takes you on a journey, whether it be through the lines, cut or the handcrafted detailing.

Rebecca Dewan promotes regional handicrafts and workmanship from all over India, bringing in chikankari embroidery from Lucknow and benarasi embroidery from Varanasi to name a few.  Garments further feature synchronization of colours in beaded fringing, chantali lace with exquisite beaded highlights, foil work embroidery and cutdana beadwork, which work toward creating an overall feeling of elegance and splendour throughout the collection.
